Yesterday I received two e-mails saying I was invited to interview at both MIT and Tuck. It was a very exciting moment, since it meant I am one step closer to the goal of getting admitted and it is also encouraging that they think I am worthy of further consideration. That I am in the mix, in other words.
However, after an initial moment of joy, I started thinking about preparing, and preparing throughly. Following a somewhat relaxed wait, now I am truly nervous as those interviews will happen in a two-week period from now and I feel I still have plenty to do. The good thing is that I won´t have to travel for this two: MIT Admissions team will come to Madrid and Tuck will be a video-interview.
I think one of the key aspects of the interview is to remain as calm and confident as possible. Of course, some last minute nervousness will be on the menu, but in the end you just have to picture yourself and speak about your experiences, you just have to do it in a complelling and clear way. Therefore I think my aproach will be «let´s shine». The rest is out of my control.
Regarding Duke-Fuqua and NYU-Stern, I believe it won´t be until mid November that I will hear from them. I am confident I can get invited at Duke as I think the fit is there and I did my best to show it. But for now, let´s focus on the tow I have already been invited to and to start working a little bit on my R2 strategy.
Wish me luck!
Wishing you the very best of luck! There’s a lot to be said for being calm and collected on interview day, but I’m not leaving anything to chance this time around! You know what you need to do, the finish line is looming. Go get them!
Yes, that is the spirit! I intend to prepare throughly. We have not come all the way here to fail, right? Congrats on that MIT invite!
Wow, this is great news! Super happy for you, wishing you all the very best and look forward to hearing some good news from you soon 😀
Thanks!! I am super happy right now and it encourages me to keep going. I hope I can share good news soon, although the interviews will be tough for sure.
I hope I can hear soon about your R2 progress and you GMAT success!
All the best with your interviews. I’m also preparing for my Sloan interview so I know how tough it is. I hope we get in
I sure hope so. We are there in the mix, we just need to prepare well for the interview, which won´tt be easy.. But I am confident. Let´s hope we can both get in! Any news on the others?
Booth interview’s done, waiting for Stanford’s invite.
Great! Good luck then! Let me know how it goes
Will do
Wonderful news! Tuck doesn’t invite many people to interview so that’s a great sign for you. All the best.
Thank you very much! I am truly exicted for the opportunity, it is a school I love so let´s hope I can do a good job.
Hey congratulations! 🙂 That is great news! All the best for the interview
